Job summary

Accelera in Texas seeks a seasoned shipyard foreman to lead marine production teams, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery of complex fabrication projects. You will supervise welders, fitters, tackers, firewatches and support staff, interpret technical drawings, and enforce hot-work and production standards while maintaining strong communication with management.

Candidate must show at least 3 years in shipyard supervision and a proven ability to drive productivity and crew accountability

Qualifications

• 3+ years direct shipyard experience.
• 3+ years in a supervisory Foreman capacity.
• Desirable: marine fabrication, structural fitting, and welding processes.
• Proven ability to manage personnel and delegate daily tasks.
• Able to interpret technical drawings, project specs, and work instructions.
• Strong knowledge of shipyard safety, hot-work procedures, and production standards.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities to foster team success.
• Ability to track and improve Safety, Quality, Productivity, Attendance, and crew output.
• Reliable and professional with clear communication to management.

In this role, you will oversee and direct marine production teams, which consist of various skilled tradespeople such as welders, fitters, tackers, firewatches, and support staff.

Professional Qualifications

• At least 3 years of direct experience working in a shipyard environment.
• A minimum of 3 years spent in a supervisory Foreman capacity.
• Expertise in marine fabrication, structural fitting, and welding processes is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage personnel and delegate daily production tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, project specifications, and detailed work instructions.
• Comprehensive understanding of shipyard safety protocols, hot-work procedures, and production standards to help maintain a secure environment.
