Job summary
Saronic Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Electrical Detail Planning to translate electrical designs into buildable installation instructions for autonomous surface vessels. You will plan cable routing, define penetrations, and coordinate sequencing with trades to minimize rework.
The role requires knowledge of shipbuilding practices, reading wiring diagrams, and ensuring compliance with ABS/USCG/NAVSEA requirements, with a focus on efficient execution and documentation across
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience in marine electrical trades or equivalent planning background.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and translate data into physical routes.
- Knowledge of ship construction and transit methods (Roxtec) for penetrations.
- Strong written communication to produce clear work instructions.
Responsibilities
- Develop installation work instructions for equipment foundation fabrication and mounting.
- Plan wireway and cable tray routing, and define penetrations.
- Translate connection lists into physical routing and sequencing.
- Coordinate installation sequencing with structural and outfitting trades to avoid interference.
- Ensure plans meet ABS/USCG/NAVSEA requirements.
