Job summary
Saronic Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer – Outfitting Detail Planning in Brownsville, Texas, to translate design packages into detailed work instructions for ship outfitting across compartments.
You will collaborate with structural, piping, electrical, HVAC, and coatings planning teams to sequence installation and ensure access, avoiding rework.
The role covers ladders, manholes, life‑saving equipment, and must meet ABS, USCG, NAVSEA standards while guiding floor teams.
Qualifications
- Hands-on outfitting background or planning experience built on that trade.
- Ability to read arrangement drawings, joiner plans, and vendor/equipment data.
- Strong organizational skills to manage wide scope across many compartments.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed work instructions and installation sequences for metal outfitting, joinery, and safety equipment.
- Determine installation sequence relative to structural closure, coatings, and other outfitting.
- Translate drawings and vendor data into actionable instructions for mechanics/joiners.
