Job summary

National Steel and Shipbuilding Com is seeking a Test & Trials Supervisor to perform, coordinate, and document Test and Trials activities aboard ships under construction or repair. You will prepare test procedures, maintain schedules, and report results to the Test Manager while coordinating with Outfitting Production, QA, customers, and regulators.

Supervisory duties include guiding test crew and coordinating with subcontractors and repair facilities.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Marine Field and 3+ years operating shipboard machinery.
• Experience with Marine Mechanical/Electrical Systems and shipboard operations.
• Familiarity with ABS and Coast Guard requirements; Navy interface experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and report Test Procedures and Coordination.
• Coordinate test planning and pre-test instructions.
• Supervise test crew and perform hands-on system operations.
• Coordinate between production, QA, customer, and regulatory bodies.
• Manage subcontractors/repair facilities and assign work.
