Job summary

Atlas Tech in San Diego, CA, is seeking a Network Automation Engineer to support the Transport Sustainment Engineering Team. The role focuses on sustainment, troubleshooting, and upgrading fielded shipboard networks, with emphasis on security posture and lifecycle support in CANES and related environments.

You will develop automation tooling, lead configuration updates, and collaborate across engineering, PMWs, and agile teams to ensure reliable deployments and proper documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4 years DoD support experience.
• 3–5 years in network or systems engineering, preferably DoD Navy.
• Hands-on Cisco ISE/NAC, including authentication, profiling, and policy enforcement.
• Experience developing automation artifacts such as Ansible Playbooks or PowerShell.

Responsibilities

• Provide sustainment support for fielded shipboard networks and troubleshoot.
• Lead upgrades to network baselines for deployed configurations.
• Implement Cisco ISE/NAC solutions and policy enforcement.
• Evaluate STIGs to improve cybersecurity posture.
• Develop automation tooling (Ansible, PowerShell) for sustainment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on upgrades and documentation.
