Job summary

Precise Systems, Inc. is seeking a Tactical Networks FRS Network Automation Engineer to sustain and upgrade fielded shipboard networks. You will troubleshoot, update configurations, and lead baselining efforts while enhancing security postures with Cisco ISE/NAC.

Leverage automation in Ansible and PowerShell to improve lifecycle sustainment, address CANES deployments, and support Agile change management. Willingness to travel and hybrid work are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional experience in network or systems engineering, preferably with DoD or Navy programs.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco ISE/NAC solutions and policy enforcement.
• Ability to develop automation artifacts (Ansible, PowerShell) and support lifecycle sustainment.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering sustainment for fielded shipboard networks, including troubleshooting, maintenance, configuration updates, and optimization.
• Lead upgrades to network baselines ensuring compatibility and reliability across deployed configurations.
• Implement and sustain Cisco ISE/NAC solutions (802.1X, MAB, AAA, RADIUS, TACACS+, TrustSec).
• Evaluate, mitigate, and implement STIGs to improve cybersecurity posture.
• Develop and maintain automation tooling and workflows.
• Troubleshoot across Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, wireless, AnyConnect, and CANES environments.
• Process ECRs and support Agile/DevOps change management for sustainment updates.
• Contribute to configuration docs, guides, and engineering artifacts.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and PMWs for upgrade activities.
