Holland America Line seeks a Manager, Maritime HR and Operations to lead talent management and performance for Deck and Technical seafarers aboard HAL and Seabourn vessels. The role ensures promotion eligibility, maintains PDR cycles, and delivers workforce reports for leadership.

The ideal candidate combines maritime knowledge with strong data skills and a service-oriented approach to seafarers and ship leadership. Travel and collaboration across departments are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Maritime Studies, Business Administration or related discipline.
• Advanced Excel and data reporting skills; experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools, crew management systems and HRIS preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to engage credibly with captains and shoreside leaders.

Responsibilities

• Maintain per-person view of the D&T talent pool and manage promotion/succession decisions.
• Own performance management cycle, appraisals, PDRs, and development plans for D&T seafarers.
• Create and maintain standard talent and performance reporting across HAL and SBN, including dashboards and KPIs.
• Collaborate with Maritime HR Strategy & Operations, Talent Acquisition and Compliance to ensure compliant processes.
