Job summary

KBR is seeking a Marine Corps Prepositioning Program Equipment Support Team Mechanic (Engineer Heavy Equipment) for a role based in Jacksonville, FL. You will perform high-level maintenance and repairs on diesel and gasoline engines and a range of heavy equipment, while coaching junior mechanics and supporting higher-level teams.

The position requires travel up to 70% and deployment readiness within 72 hours, with qualifications including a high school diploma, related experience, and applicable

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Four years of directly related work experience.
• Complete the Basic Engineer Program Mechanics Course, or equivalent.
• Complete the Engineer Equipment Chief Course, or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid passport.
• Must have valid State Drivers License.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• Travel required up to 70% of the time.
• Must be deployable within 72 hours.
• U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC) and Base Access.

Responsibilities

• Performs high level preventative maintenance and repairs to diesel engines and gasoline and diesel driven construction equipment such as tractors, power shovels, road machinery, air compressors, concrete mixers and other engine driven or towed construction equipment.
• Provides technical assistance, guidance, or training to lower level mechanics and assists higher level mechanics.
• Performs other tasks as reasonably assigned.
