Job summary

Serco Inc. is seeking an Experienced Engineering Technician to support U.S. Naval Ships from Newport News, VA. You will join a team delivering cabling, equipment, and C5ISR system installations on ships and in shipyards.

The role requires 5+ years in electrical work, ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance, drawing interpretation, and leadership of a 6–10 person crew. Occasional travel and strict safety adherence are expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Experience managing a crew (6–10 people).
• Willingness to travel up to 25% to various sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and correct malfunctions on electrical systems.
• Conduct tests and record data; adjust setups as needed.
• Perform electrical work on ships, boats and marine equipment.
• Maintain engineering data records and plots; read drawings.
• Support safety programs and maintain QA documentation.
