Job summary

Serco is seeking an Entry Marine Electrician to support U.S. Naval Ships from Norfolk, VA. Join a team delivering cabling, equipment, and C5ISR installations on board Navy vessels and military installations.

Work includes assembling electromechanical assemblies and ensuring safe, high-quality workmanship aboard ships and facilities. The role emphasizes safety, on-board electrical repairs, and adherence to NAVSEA standards.

Qualifications

• 1 year of direct electrical experience on ships, boats, and marine equipment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret clearance.
• Must be a US citizen and able to obtain shipyard access.

Responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting and repair of malfunctions on electrical systems aboard ships.
• Conduct tests and experiments, set up test equipment, record data.
• Perform electrical work on ships, boats, and marine equipment.
• Repair wiring and restore power to engines and navigation systems; secure work areas.
• Maintain records of engineering data, tests, and measurements.
• Perform routine tests and operate simple test equipment; record data.
