Job summary

American Cruise Lines, the largest U.S. cruise company, is hiring Dishwashers for the 2026 season. You will work in the shipboard galley to ensure proper sanitation of all dining ware while supporting guest service during embarks and events.

This is a temporary, 28-week assignment aboard our ships, with meals, uniforms, and training provided. You must be 18+, able to pass pre-employment drug testing, and adhere to grooming standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age and an American citizen or Green Card holder.
• Pre-employment drug test for all shipboard employees, including Marijuana.
• Alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited.
• Grooming standards limit visible tattoos and piercings.
• This is a temporary position not to extend beyond 28 weeks of shipboard work.
• Ability to live and work on board a vessel for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work around 12 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of galley, cutlery, glassware, and dishes.
• Receive and carry food deliveries, lifting boxes up to 50 lbs.
• Ensure dishwasher operates properly and report maintenance issues.
• Create rapport with guests and fulfill galley requests efficiently.
• Perform other duties as needed, including guest greeting during embarkation and events.
