Job summary

SSTi is seeking a Shipboard "Project Engineer" to work with combat system SMEs, ship personnel, and Government stakeholders to ensure readiness of shipboard combat/weapon systems during test planning and execution. Responsibilities include leading readiness assessments, documenting issues via TORs, and managing testing of combat systems; requires DoD documentation experience and an active Secret clearance.

Preferred background includes a BS in Electrical/Software/Computer Engineering or related

Qualifications

• Must have proven project leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of naval combat/weapon systems and their functions.
• Experience developing DoD standard documentation (test plans, test procedures, reports).

Responsibilities

• Lead readiness assessments for planned events and manage workups.
• Document all issues (software, hardware, logistics) using TORs in a TOR database.
• Oversee successful completion of combat system testing.
