Job summary
In-Depth Engineering Corporation in Bath, ME seeks a Combat Systems Installation Engineer to support the Aegis SI&T program. You review design drawings, inspect installation of combat system equipment, and assist in troubleshooting to keep testing on schedule.
The role requires US citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance. It is a full-time, on-site position with travel up to 30% to domestic locations as needed.
Qualifications
- US citizen with active DoD Secret clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend production drawings and military specifications for electrical and optical components.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% and work aboard US Navy ships.
Responsibilities
- Review design drawings and conduct installation inspections of combat system equipment.
- Inspect equipment and cabling during installation to identify problems and provide solutions.
- Support engineering analysis during installation and ship modernization tests.
- Identify changes to drawings and participate in re-installation; troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Provide installation and operational support; participate in design reviews.
- Interact with suppliers and subcontractors as needed.
