Job summary

T-Solutions invites applications for a Combat Systems Port Engineer (CSPE). You will ensure ships are mission-ready by validating shipboard conditions and leading a maintenance team in off-ship modernization efforts, interfacing with TYCOM and the CO.

Ideal candidates bring US Navy surface ship combat systems experience, C4I/C5I operations, and a proven leadership record, with eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance. Occasional travel to Fleet concentration areas is expected.

Qualifications

Experience with US Navy surface ship combat systems and communications.
Shipboard C4I and C5I systems operation and maintenance.
Depot level combat systems repairs and modernization experience.
Leadership in combat systems and C4I/C5I maintenance communities.
Active DoD Secret clearance is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

Interface with ships’ crew and leadership to discuss maintenance and CSMP items.
Validate off-ship maintenance and provide repair recommendations.
Assess timing and cost-effectiveness of maintenance actions.
Provide risk assessments and prioritize on-/off-ship maintenance.
Support ship maintenance/repair events and answer questions in real time.
Identify modernization needs and authorize/deferral of work.
Coordinate with industrial activities and optimize work packages.
