Job summary

Serco Inc. seeks Advanced Mechanical Assemblers to join a high-profile project supporting the US Navy in Norfolk, VA. You will fabricate and assemble electromechanical components from blueprints, perform preventive maintenance, and work aboard naval ships and installations.

A DoD Secret clearance, OSHA/respirator qualifications, and shipboard experience are preferred. Applicants should have a minimum of 5 years using power tools and assembling large and intricate assemblies, with the ability to

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 5 years experience using power tools and assembling mechanical assemblies.
• Experience reading drawings/blueprints and completing subassemblies.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate and assemble electromechanical and electronic assemblies from blueprints or diagrams.
• Perform preventive maintenance and follow manufacturers’ instructions.
• Operate on Navy shipboard installations and shipyard environments.
• Work second/third shifts and up to 40+ hours per week as needed.
• Travel up to 10% to various work sites.
