Job summary

Serco invites skilled Advanced Mechanical Assemblers to join a high-profile project supporting U.S. Navy ship installations.

You will fabricate, assemble, and maintain complex electromechanical assemblies onboard naval vessels and in shipyards, following precise drawings and safety protocols. Role requires at least 5 years with power tools, shipboard experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance; candidates must pass background checks and drug screening and be OSHA 10 certified

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience using power tools.
• Experience reading drawings and assembling mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance and pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Follow blueprints, guidelines, and diagrams to fabricate and assemble electromechanical and electronic assemblies.
• Perform preventive maintenance and report malfunctions.
• Work on U.S. Naval Ships and military installations with awareness of safety and comfort constraints.
• Read drawings, drill holes, cut metal, and torque fasteners under supervision as needed.
• Maintain safety protocols and assist with HAZMAT control.
