Job summary

Mercy Ships is seeking a Network Engineer II to install, configure, and support network infrastructure and related applications. You will work 80% onsite in Lindale, Texas and 20% remote, with significant travel both domestically and internationally.

The role is hybrid and full time for a 2-year limited term, focusing on Cisco routing/switching, IP addressing, and security in multi-site environments.

Qualifications

• Experience configuring Cisco routers and switches in multi-site environments.
• Proficient in TCP/IP networking and LAN/WAN concepts.
• Knowledge of EIGRP and BGP routing protocols.
• Experience with network monitoring tools and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support network infrastructure and application components.
• Unbox, rack, install, and configure Cisco routers and switches.
• Design and implement multi-server environments with IP addressing schemes.
• Provide technical assistance to staff, administrators, providers, site personnel, and vendors.
• Maintain and support multi-site network operations across private and public facilities.
• Administer perimeter security systems, including firewalls and IDS.
• Manage projects to align with established objectives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network hardware and connectivity issues.
• Provide after-hours or on-call support; travel as required.
• Uphold Mercy Ships core values and policies.
