Job summary

Alliance of Professionals & Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Field Networks Engineer for an onsite Houston role. This 6-month contract-to-hire position supports a Gulf Coast network with 25% travel, focusing on Cisco/Meraki, Hyper-V, AWS, and core networking.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of IT infrastructure/system administration experience.
• Hands-on Cisco/Meraki experience MX75, 250, up to Gigabit or Catalyst.
• Strong Microsoft Hyper-V experience, including clustering, live migration, and replication.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, RDS, S3, and VPC.
• Windows Server and Linux administration experience.
• Strong networking knowledge: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and VPNs.
• Microsoft 365 experience with Entra ID, Exchange Online, Teams, and Intune.
• Backup/disaster recovery and security experience.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Ability to own projects from design through implementation.
• Ability to lift/install network equipment and perform cabling/low-voltage work.
