Job summary

MGT Impact Solutions is seeking a Senior Network Engineer to provide high-level network engineering services on a part-time basis. The role operates in a hybrid model with on-site support as required, supporting CDTA and related facilities.

The candidate will manage complex LAN/WAN environments, coordinate with carriers and vendors, and ensure secure, scalable network operation. Strong scripting and documentation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated senior-level experience designing, supporting, and troubleshooting enterprise networks.
• Strong hands-on experience with routing, switching, firewalls, wireless, and VPN.
• Experience planning production maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and troubleshooting with rollback.
• Ability to analyze results, identify risks, and present practical recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with disciplined documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain enterprise network infrastructure with focus on availability and security.
• Troubleshoot routing, switching, wireless, WAN, VPN, firewall, and performance issues.
• Plan and execute maintenance, patching, upgrades, migrations, testing, and cutovers.
• Coordinate with carriers, vendors, and staff for issue resolution.
• Develop repeatable configurations, templates, and procedures.
• Maintain up-to-date network diagrams, inventories, and change records.
• Provide leadership with visibility into active work, risks, and decisions.
