Manson Construction Co. is seeking an IT Network Support Engineer – II to split time between vessel network engineering and end-user helpdesk support. You will design and secure vessel networks, coordinate with OT teams, and provide hands-on support for offices and ships.

The role focuses on large vessels with complex networks and requires strong service orientation, clear communication to non-technical users, and willingness to travel about 40% to various offices and vessels.

Qualifications

• AA degree or 5 years related experience.
• Cisco CCNA certification required or equivalent.
• Fortinet NSE 4 certification preferred; must obtain within 12 months.
• Knowledge of LAN/WLAN, WAN, VPNs, and TCP/IP.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain vessel network architecture.
• Ensure reliable vessel connectivity with uplink providers.
• Manage network lifecycle, upgrades, and replacements.
• Deploy firmware/software updates to vessel infrastructure.
• Implement and enforce network security controls and access management.
• Monitor network performance and perform security reviews.
• Maintain documentation, diagrams, and asset inventories.
• Troubleshoot network issues and coordinate with OT teams.
• Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for vessel and shoreside users.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
