Job summary

Easterseals NH is hiring a State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Counselor for the Aging and Disability Resource Center. The role provides unbiased, person-centered counseling to NH residents to help them navigate Medicare options and related programs. The position is full-time, based between Manchester and Nashua offices, with 40 hours per week, 8:00/8:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred, OR Associates Degree with equivalent experience.
• Experience working with older adults and/or adults with disabilities in human service delivery and information/referral.
• Certification as SHIP Counselor within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling and assistance via telephone, office appointments, walk-ins, and public education presentations.
• Coordinate outreach activities regarding the Medicare program and distribute information.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge on Medicare program details including plans and drug coverage.
