Job summary

Easterseals NH, Inc. is hiring a State Health Insurance Program (SHIP) Counselor to educate and assist NH residents with Medicare options and related state programs.

You will work across Manchester and Nashua offices, offering in-person and phone counseling, and participate in outreach events to help beneficiaries navigate coverage options. The role requires a degree (Bachelor’s preferred) or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple

Qualifications

• Experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities in human services.
• Ability to provide unbiased, person-centered counseling and information.
• Proficient with basic computer software and data entry for reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one counseling and assistance to individuals and families applying for or receiving Medicare-related benefits.
• Deliver information via in-person, telephone, and outreach presentations.
• Coordinate with state and federal agencies to share resources and program updates.
