Job summary

Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida is seeking a Full-Time SHINE Manager to lead staff and volunteer counselors delivering education and support to Medicare beneficiaries across SWFL.

The SHINE Manager ensures regulatory compliance with SHIP, MIPPA, and SMP programs, trains volunteers, reports activities, and collaborates with AAASWFL leadership to plan future initiatives. Travel across seven counties is required, and Level II background screening applies.

Qualifications

• Experience managing staff and volunteers.
• Familiarity with SHIP/MIPPA/SMP programs.
• Strong organization and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff and volunteer counselors providing Medicare education and support.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and accurate reporting of state-funded activities.
• Train new volunteers and present Medicare education to community members.
• Travel throughout AAASWFL's seven-county service area as required.
