Job summary

Area Agency On Aging Of Central Florida Inc-Senior Resource Alliance is seeking a SHINE Program Coordinator to support planning, coordination, and day-to-day SHINE operations in Orlando. You will help recruit and onboard volunteers, assist with training, and promote SHINE services through outreach and education.

The role includes supporting call center activities, maintaining program materials and records, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies and program requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Health and Human Services or related field.
• Minimum of two years in volunteer management, customer service, communications, or community outreach.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication with staff, volunteers, and the public.
• Ability to interpret procedures, policies, and guidance.

Responsibilities

• Support the SHINE Liaison/Supervisor in the planning, coordination, and daily operation of the SHINE Program.
• Recruit, onboard, train, and retain SHINE volunteers to support program goals.
• Coordinate volunteer orientation, mentoring, training schedules, and ongoing professional development activities.
• Plan, coordinate, and participate in community outreach events, presentations, health fairs, and educational programs to increase public awareness of SHINE services.
• Assist in the development and distribution of outreach and educational materials, including print and digital communications.
• Support daily call center operations by monitoring workflow, managing referrals, and helping ensure timely, high-quality customer service.
• Coordinate scheduling and communication with volunteers, staff, and community partners.
• Maintain inventories of program supplies, outreach materials, and educational resources, and coordinate ordering as needed.
• Maintain accurate program records, reports, and documentation in accordance with organizational policies and program requirements.
• Assist with special projects and perform other duties as assigned to support organizational and program objectives.
• Assist in developing, distributing, and maintaining outreach and educational materials, including print and digital communications.
• Assist in developing strategies to recruit diverse and qualified volunteers throughout the service area.
