Job summary

Area Agency on Aging for Southwest Florida is seeking a Full-Time SHINE Manager to lead staff and volunteer counselors focused on education and support for Medicare Beneficiaries in SWFL. The role requires familiarity with SHINE, MIPPA, SMP programs and state reporting compliance.

The SHINE Manager will liaison with volunteers, community partners, and grantors, ensuring timely reporting and contract benchmarks while monitoring policy changes to guide future activities for AAASWFL.

Qualifications

• Self-motivation, flexibility, and strong organization.
• Personnel management experience required.
• Familiarity with Medicare policy.
• Travel throughout AAASWFL's seven-county service area is required.
• Level II Background Screening is mandatory for all employees.

Responsibilities

• Lead staff and volunteer SHINE counselors delivering Medicare education and support to beneficiaries.
• Serve as liaison with volunteer workforce, community agencies, and state grantors.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for SHINE/MIPPA/SMP programs and accurate service reporting.
• Collaborate with SHINE team to plan and implement activities aligned with contracts.
• Provide insights to executive leadership for program planning.
