Job summary

The Press Club Grill is seeking a Team Captain to serve as Shift Team Leader, guiding guests toward smoothies and retail products while supporting team members in the absence of the General Manager. This role emphasizes composure, delegation, and delivering the Serve To Inspire experience.

As a shift leader, you’ll manage daily tasks, uphold standards, and foster a friendly, efficient store environment with consistent product quality and guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Thinks on their feet at all times under pressure.
• Informs franchise owner/manager of problems or unusual matters of significance.
• Assists team members at the POS with upselling, voiding, or refunding a transaction.
• Ensures positioning is in use and all team members understand assigned positions.
• Assists in team member management during shifts, ensuring uniform compliance and daily tasks.
• Sets the Speed of Service pace for the shift.
• Supports and adheres to operational standards at all times.
• Encourages team members on shift to meet/exceed goals and complete daily tasks.
• Fulfills cash handling and inventory reporting responsibilities honestly.
• Trusted with sensitive information from team and franchise leadership.
• Greets guests and engages to provide a friendly experience.
• Ensures Serve To Inspire culture is demonstrated for the shift.
• Blends smoothies and bowls according to the recipe for consistent taste.
• Shows up on time and balances personal life with work schedule.
• Discusses and delegates Daily Checklist tasks with team members.
• Willing to take on new tasks outside of current role and asks for feedback.

Job description

Team Captain serve as the Shift Team Leader. They not only help Guests meet their fitness and nutrition goals by assisting them to help select smoothies and retail products that inspire them maintain a healthy and active lifestyle but, also, provide guidance to Team Members when General Managers are not in the store.

Composure

• “Thinks on their feet" at all times regardless of internal or external pressures
• Informs franchise owner/manager to all problems or unusual matters of significance
• Assists team members at the POS with upselling, voiding, or refunding a transaction

Delegation

• Ensures positioning is in use and all team members understand assigned positions to maintain efficient store flow/operations
• Assists in team member management during scheduled shifts, including but not limited to: holding team members accountable to being in proper uniform, reduced phone use, and completing Daily Checklist tasks

• Sets the Speed of Service pace for the shift
• Supports and adheres to operational standards at all times
• Encourages team members on shift to meet/exceed goals and complete daily checklist tasks
