The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher-level supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed to gain experience, completing basic operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for consideration for promotion to open Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor positions. These leadership roles support the CVS Store Management team in driving store execution and performance, while fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the Operations or Shift Supervisor leads the store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.
