Job summary

Indiana Automotive Fasteners is seeking an experienced Tool Engineering Leader to drive departmental performance with focus on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. This role leads cross-functional teams, champions TPS/TPM, and develops training plans to ensure coverage and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include setting goals, coordinating meetings, managing tooling inventories, and guiding kaizen activities across shifts to maintain 100% conforming output and cost-effective operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business management or STEM with 5+ years of experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic issues with minimal direction.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with Windows and Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Experience leading tooling and cost-reduction initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead the department with Safety, Delivery, and Cost (S, Q, D, C) in mind.
• Champion Toyota Production System (TPS) and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
• Coordinate training for new team members and cross-training plans.
• Act as a key point of contact for the Department and provide support.
• Set department expectations, goals, and action plans; facilitate SQDC communications.
