Job summary

SpartanNash in Holland, Michigan is seeking a Store Associate to help run smooth daily store operations and deliver the best guest experience. You’ll supervise shifts in the absence of store leadership and ensure policy adherence, safety, and a clean, well-stocked store.

The role requires a high school diploma (preferred) and about one year in retail or related work. You’ll perform duties across departments, handle cash and customer questions, and support a positive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.

Responsibilities

• Monitor associate’s adherence to company policies.
• Able to run cashier register and courtesy counter desk and handle customer concerns in efficient manner.
• Understand and be familiar with store layout, location of safety and emergency equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas, providing feedback to department managers.
• In the absence of management, assume time clock maintenance responsibilities.
• May close store: lock doors, turn off lights, arm store, etc.
• Knowledge of product locations to assist customers.
• Maintain a clean, attractive and well stocked store.
• Follow PPE and Safety Guidelines.
• Follow Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations.
• Follow Guest Experience Guidelines.
