Job summary

HomeFirst in San Jose, CA is seeking a Part Time Shift Supervisor for the Navigation HUB. You will oversee day-to-day operations, supervise Resident Advocates, ensure program compliance, and maintain a safe, respectful environment for participants.

This role is part-time, temporary through 12/31/2026, with a compensation of $39.62 per hour. The Navigation HUB serves single adults and couples, providing basic needs and case management in a trauma-informed, harm-reduction framework.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent experience in social services or related field.
• Experience working with unhoused populations or in similar settings.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations and supervision of Resident Advocates.
• Ensure program compliance and service delivery standards.
• Maintain safety and welcoming environment for participants and staff.
• Coordinate with Program Manager and schedule staff coverage as needed.
• Supervise workshops and respond to guest crises using de-escalation techniques.
