Job summary

Commercial Metals Company is seeking a capable shift supervisor to oversee production in our manufacturing facilities in the United States. You will lead teams to ensure steel products are produced safely, on time, and to specification, coordinating with supervision and maintenance staff to resolve issues as they arise.

The role requires proven leadership, experience in a heavy industrial setting, and a willingness to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Run effective shift start meetings with safety and production updates.
• Foster positive employee relations to improve engagement and performance.

What You’ll Do

• Work to ensure all steel is manufactured toCMCspecifications and safely in a timely manner
• Communicate with fellow workers and supervisors about possible production issues, concerns, and needs
• Trouble shoots work related problems using job knowledge, experience, and by communicating with others (pulpit operator, process manager, maintenance personnel, etc)
• Assist maintenance personnel when requested/needed
• Leading effective crew meetings at start of shift. Include any safety, quality or production communications applicable.
• Foster positive employee relations in order to attract, develop and retain high performance teams—focused on employee engagement, leadership development, performance alignment to CMC objectives, and change management for accountability.

What You’ll Need

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams
• Experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial environment strongly preferred
• Work rotating shift which includes weekends and holidays

Your Education

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience is required
