Job summary

Onvo is seeking a Shift Manager to lead the restaurant team during shifts, ensuring service excellence and smooth operations. You will manage daily tasks, supervise staff, handle guest concerns, and uphold quality and sanitation standards.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least 1 year of restaurant experience, with pay starting at $15+ per hour. This is a hands-on position based in our dining locations in Pennsylvania.

Responsibilities

• Direct team members as they perform the activities necessary for a successful shift operation.
• Maintain continuity of shift operations with a focus on cleanliness and organization.
• Promote punctual attendance for assigned shifts.
• Handle administrative tasks related to shift operations (petty cash, daily deposits, inventories, daily reports) as directed by management.
• Ensure products meet quality standards, equipment operates properly, sanitation is maintained, and the restaurant is clean and presentable.
• Assist in assigning job positions to insure efficient operation in line with policy and labor laws.
• Train shift employees using company tools on food prep, sanitation, guest relations, upselling, and safety.
• Receive and resolve guest complaints tactfully to ensure satisfaction.
• Take inventory at night to inform management for ordering and shortages.
• Ensure company policies are followed in security and operations.

Our Shift Managers are responsible for enthusiastically leading and motivating the restaurant team to achieve the highest levels of customer service satisfaction. The Shift Manager manages the restaurant in the absence of the General Manager and/or Assistant Manager and is responsible for managing the daily operations of the store.

Essential Functions

• Direct Team Members as they perform the activities necessary for a successful shift operation.
• Responsible for maintaining the continuity of the shift operations. Maintains a strong focus on cleanliness and organization, setting the standard for the team
• Prompt and regular attendance on assigned shifts
• Implement and execute all the administrative responsibilities (i.e., petty cash, daily deposits, inventories, daily reports) directly related to his/her shift operation or as delegated by the Restaurant General Manager.
• Accountable for products being of specified quality and quantity, that equipment is operating properly, that sanitation standards are complied with, and that the restaurant is maintained in a neat and attractive manner.
• May be responsible for the assignment of job positions to insure efficient operation, in accordance with company policy and the respective state and federal labor laws.
• Utilizes company training tools to provide shift employees with training in food preparation, sanitation, proper appearance, guest relations, suggested selling techniques, safety, etc., increasing their proficiency and value to the restaurant.
• Receive and resolve guest complaints in a tactful manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Take inventory of stock when closing the restaurant at night in order to provide management with the data needed to order supplies and identify shortages.
• Ensure that all company security and operations policies are followed

Credentials and Experience

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year restaurant experience

Pay

$15+ per hour
