Job summary

SCO is seeking a Residence Supervisor in New York to oversee shifts, assign responsibilities, and ensure programs run in compliance with agency policies. You will monitor health, support diet plans, and document activities and incidents as required.

The role requires a High School Diploma (Associates/Bachelor’s preferred), 2 years’ experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, strong communication skills, and a valid NY driving license. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associates/Bachelor’s preferred.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OPWDD regulations.
• Good management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Must have a valid New York State driving license.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision to staff during shifts and assign responsibilities as needed.
• Ensure program operates in accordance with regulations and agency policy.
• Ensure individuals’ treatment plans are followed.
• Provide direct support services as needed.
• Monitor individuals’ health and safety throughout the shift.
• Ensure diet and nutrition plans are followed and documented.
• Facilitate community integration and recreation activities and document outcomes.
• Complete documentation and follow reporting procedures on schedule.
• Follow incident management procedures and document appropriately.
• Maintain daily schedules and routines.
• Support staff during crises and provide ongoing coaching.
• Assist in training staff on treatment plan implementation.
• Model calm, stable leadership in daily activities and crises.
• Engage constructively with individuals, staff, families, and community members.
• Participate in staff and individual meetings; perform other duties as requested.
