Job summary

SCO Family of Service in New York is seeking a Residence Manager to ensure the residence operates in a manner that promotes the wellbeing, dignity, and personal development of the people supported, while complying with OPWDD regulations and agency standards.

You will supervise direct support professionals, coordinate care plans, oversee dietary, medical, and safety protocols, and maintain comprehensive documentation.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate degree preferred.
• Valid NYS driver's license required.
• Experience with developmentally disabled or traumatic brain injury populations preferred.
• Knowledge of OPWDD regulations and Justice Center requirements.
• AMAP, CPR, First Aid, and SCIP-R certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the people supported receive care per Circle of Support plans and Life plans.
• Monitor and support implementation of program plans and behavior strategies.
• Maintain a minimum of three weekly community inclusion activities for each person supported.
• Create and maintain the recreation calendar and oversee menus/dietary planning.
• Coordinate medical needs with healthcare providers and document timely updates.
• Supervise DSPs, perform on-floor observations, and provide feedback.
• Schedule coverage, conduct staff evaluations, and document training activities.
• Lead weekly supervision with staff and complete end-of-shift reports as needed.
• Ensure incident documentation and OPWDD compliant reporting; maintain required records.
