Job summary

City Of League City is seeking a Telecommunicator Supervisor to direct 24/7 Communications Center operations, ensuring compliance with procedures and laws. You will monitor staff, handle calls, and coordinate with field units and agencies to support police, fire, and EMS.

The role requires 2 years of CAD experience, EMS dispatch credentials, and leadership ability. This is a safety-sensitive position with annual reviews and ongoing training requirements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years of public safety dispatch experience required.
• Telecommunicator I certification required.
• 2 years CAD operations experience required.
• Emergency Medical Dispatch Certificate required.
• Communications Trainer Certificate preferred.
• Intermediate Telecommunicator Certificate required.
• TCOLE Instructor Certificate within one year preferred.
• Valid Texas Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day operations on a shift in the Communications Center.
• Ensure procedures, policies, and laws are followed in daily operations.
• Monitor staff performance and address issues, including disciplinary actions.
• Enter and process calls for service; monitor CAD transactions.
• Operate CAD dispatch and radio systems to deploy units.
• Answer all emergency and non-emergency lines, including 911 calls.
• Coordinate with other agencies and responders for warrants and events.
• Oversee training of new telecommunicators and conduct evaluations.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and procedure manuals.
