SHIFT SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking an active role and partnering with the Store Manager in day‑to‑day operation of the store.
- Assuming responsibility for all day‑to‑day store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
- Providing coaching, training, and development to the Store Employees.
- Ensuring Customer/Donor needs are met by maintaining good Customer/Donor/Community relations; complaints are resolved; and service is quick and efficient.
- Communicating any personnel issues with the District Sales Manager when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager are absent.
- Coordinating daily morning and shift‑change team meetings when the Store Manager or Assistant Manager are absent.
- Ensuring store is maintained and adequate inventory levels on hand; ensuring timely completion of regular and accurate Rag Out from the sales floor.
- Back‑Room Processing – ensuring that Material Handlers are working effectively and efficiently to meet daily processing goals.
- Donation Attendants – ensuring that the Donation Attendants are working effectively and efficiently according to the Donation Attendant Job Description when the Store Manager is absent.
- Maintaining adequate change at the beginning of each day, safeguarding cash in registers, and banking of cash receipts as per ARCC policy.
- Implementing appropriate loss‑prevention measures as directed.
- Performing other written and/or verbal duties as may be assigned by Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
- Minimum one‑year previous retail experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Accuracy in handling POS/Cash Register operations and cash transactions.
- Valid Driver's license, with proof of insurance.
- Successful completion of a background check, including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
- Effective communication skills with management, fellow store employees, customers, and donors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, clothing carts, merchandise carts, rolling clothing racks, fixtures, furniture dollies, platform trucks, hand trucks, and miscellaneous carts.
- Ability to move product up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks.
- Ability to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
WORK SCHEDULE
Our stores operate 7 days per week. Work schedules are determined by Management and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate store coverage. Full‑time associates may be scheduled for any full‑time shift, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
PAY RATE
PAY RATE: $15.00 per hour
