The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, completing basic management training, and learning about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These leadership roles support store management in driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is present onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent. Retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer skills, and advanced communication skills are preferred. Candidates must be able to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
This pay range reflects the base hourly rate or full-time salary, with actual offers depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
