Job description

The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The role involves performing assigned work to develop supervisory skills, completing basic management training, and understanding key aspects of the CVS/pharmacy business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service.

Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support store management in executing store operations and enhancing store performance, especially in the absence of a manager, where they lead staff and oversee opening and closing procedures.

Essential Functions include:

1. Management:
   • Work effectively with store management and staff
   • Supervise store crew activities
   • Communicate effectively within the team
2. Customer Service:
   • Assist customers and resolve issues
   • Promote CVS customer service culture
   • Handle customer relations in accordance with company policy
   • Maintain confidentiality of customer/patient information

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in retail preferred
• Strong deductive reasoning, analytical, and computer skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed

• Pay range reflects base hourly or annual salary, depending on position and factors such as experience and location
