CVS Health is seeking a Shift Supervisor Trainee to prepare for supervisory roles within the company. This entry-level position focuses on developing management skills and enhancing customer service capabilities. Successful candidates will undergo training to assist in supervising staff, ensuring operations run smoothly, and providing exceptional service to customers. Flexibility in work hours is required, including early mornings and weekends.
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. Trainees perform tasks as directed to develop supervisory skills, complete basic management training, and learn about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees become eligible for promotion to open supervisory positions. These leadership roles support store management in executing store operations, enhancing performance, and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads the staff, ensures smooth operations, and oversees opening and closing procedures.
Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Additional preferred experience includes retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical skills, computer proficiency, and advanced communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime is also required.
The pay range reflects the base hourly or annual salary, with actual offers depending on experience, education, location, and other factors.
