Job summary

Westfall Technik Inc. in Asheboro, NC is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead and coordinate production activities, ensuring schedules and quality standards are met.

You will supervise the production staff, enforce SOPs and safety protocols, and support machine setup and process improvements. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in manufacturing with at least 1 year in a leadership role, strong communication skills, and experience with ERP/MES systems, Excel, and production software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate or Technical Degree is preferred.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or production experience.
• At least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to present data clearly.
• Proficiency with ERP, MES, Excel, and production software.
• Knowledge of safety regulations, GMP, lean manufacturing, or Six Sigma is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate, and monitor all shift activities to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Supervise production staff, ensuring SOPs, safety protocols, and work instructions are followed.
• Monitor machine performance, work orders, and material usage; resolve issues as they arise.
• Provide support with job setups, preventative maintenance, and process adjustments as needed.
• Utilize ERP or MES systems to track production metrics, log incidents, review work orders, and manage time reporting.
• Maintain detailed records related to production performance, attendance, quality concerns, and downtime incidents.
• Coach, mentor, and train employees to develop technical and soft skills; coordinate onboarding of new hires.
