Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers in Forked River, NJ is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensuring team members deliver exceptional customer service, comply with brand standards and food safety requirements, and train new hires. The role involves POS operation, cash handling, and daily opening/closing routines.

You will also handle stock, food preparation tasks, and maintain product knowledge while upholding company policies and safety guidelines. Flexible schedule required.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and appropriately resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system, accurately process and receive payment from customers, and follow all customer service and cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures are followed including wrapping, labelling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products.
• Complete with a variety of kitchen-related tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain a solid knowledge of products and services available in the plaza.
• Assist in the training of new team members.
• Follow required brand standards, food safety requirements, as well as all company policies and procedures.
• Inform plaza leadership of any observations, concerns, or problems that are witnessed or experienced.
• Execute a variety of other tasks as assigned.
