Job summary

MilkShake Factory Old Town Fort Collins is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily shifts, coach team members, and ensure exceptional service and product quality.

This hands-on role requires confident leadership, initiative, and sound judgment. You will train staff, maintain cleanliness, handle cash procedures, and support staffing decisions while upholding food safety standards; advancement is available based on performance and business needs.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory or shift leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication, delegation, and problem-solving skills.
• Close attention to cleanliness, presentation, accuracy, and safety.
• Ability to prioritize, take initiative, and remain composed during busy shifts.
• Cash-handling experience; familiarity with POS systems preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must hold a ServSafe Food Protection Manager certification or obtain it within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts, delegate tasks, and verify that opening, closing, and daily responsibilities are completed correctly.
• Train and coach team members, provide constructive feedback, and communicate performance concerns to management.
• Set a positive example, promote teamwork, and help create a professional, enjoyable work environment.
• Welcome guests, answer questions, offer samples, recommend products, and resolve concerns professionally.
• Prepare milkshakes, sundaes, and dipped chocolates according to recipe, quality, and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, including the dining room, restrooms, equipment, service areas, and back-of-house spaces. Assign tasks and check completed work.
• Assist with stocking, inventory, product rotation, waste reduction, seasonal displays, and signage.
• Follow cash-handling procedures and ensure team members do the same.
• Adjust priorities to business volume, keeping the team productive and supporting appropriate staffing and labor management.
• Reinforce food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures. Promptly report equipment, safety, or product-quality concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
