Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead on-site shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and ensure compliance with brand standards and food safety requirements. You will train new team members and monitor cash handling policies while supporting daily operations in our travel plaza environment.

The role emphasizes strong team leadership, operational accuracy, and a commitment to delivering an outstanding traveler experience across our diverse food and retail offerings.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Able to stand and walk for an extended period; lift at least 40 pounds.
• Available to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and process payments following policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, wrapping, dating, stocking, storage, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prep, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and upsell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
