Job summary

Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and adhere to brand standards and food safety requirements. You will train new team members and monitor cash handling compliance on a daily basis.

The role requires cash handling and customer service experience, with leadership experience preferred, and a capacity to engage positively with travelers and coworkers. Flexibility to work varied hours is expected.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures per policies.
• Operate POS system and process payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling: wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing and temperature checks.
• Assist in kitchen-related tasks: prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute additional tasks as assigned.
