Job summary

Meow Wolf in Los Angeles, CA is hiring a Shift Supervisor (Manager on Duty) to lead frontline operations across Guest Services, Retail, Food & Beverage, and Facilities. You will coordinate with security, ensure safety, guest satisfaction, and uphold Meow Wolf values.

You’ll help pre-opening activity, hire events, onboarding, and develop SOPs while guiding shifts through playtests, soft opens, and grand openings. 21+ with RBS and food handler readiness required.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in a high-traffic guest-facing setting.
• Experience across customer service, retail, food service, or facilities.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Ability to stay calm and lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with POS and scheduling platforms; 21+ with RBS and food handler readiness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations as Manager on Duty across departments.
• Ensure safety, guest experience, and adherence to policies and CUP/CUB.
• Provide on-floor coaching and support to hourly staff.
• Handle incidents, escalations, and confidential matters appropriately.
• Coordinate with security vendor and safety managers as needed.
• Monitor labor usage, meal/rest periods, and shift coverage.
• Lead training, onboarding, and SOP development pre-opening.
• Support admissions, retail, F&B, and housekeeping tasks as required.
