Job summary

The Wood River Refinery in Roxana, Illinois seeks a Shift Supervisor II to lead a team of shift operators across multiple shifts. You will guide production plans, monitor KPIs, and ensure safety and environmental compliance in a fast-paced refinery setting.

You will develop schedules, manage resources, and collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to meet production goals while coaching staff toward continuous improvement and accountability.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of operations experience in the energy industry.
• Willing to obtain a TWIC and possess a valid driver’s license.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; travel up to 5%.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of shift operators to ensure safe, efficient production.
• Guide daily operational plans, monitor performance indicators, and ensure safety/environmental standards.
• Develop work schedules, allocate resources, and oversee equipment preparation for maintenance.
• Coach team members and drive accountability and continuous improvement.
• Foster open communication and alignment across shifts and departments.
• Supervise labor contracts and payroll/admin tasks; coordinate with engineering and maintenance.
