Job summary

Applegreen seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams while ensuring exceptional customer service and compliance with cash handling, brand standards, and food safety policies.

You will train new hires, manage opening/closing tasks, and operate the POS system to process transactions accurately. This role requires flexible scheduling across days, nights, weekends, and holidays at travel plazas throughout the Northeast and Midwest.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve customer concerns.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Operate POS system and process payments following policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking, rotating, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Adhere to brand standards and food safety requirements; follow company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems; perform other tasks as assigned.
