Job summary

Volunteers of America Delaware Valley in Camden, NJ is seeking a Shift Supervisor to join our dynamic team. The incumbent will lead a shift, supervise staff, train team members, and serve as the facility's contact person on shift, ensuring completion of program assistant responsibilities.

Responsibilities include coordinating security, ensuring client population accountability, guiding daily routines and chores, orienting new clients, and filing paperwork in line with VOA Delaware Valley

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months VOA experience preferred or 2 years of human services experience with supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driver standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ongoing security of the facility.

Job description

We want to hire a Shift Supervisor to join our highly dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Director and/or Program Coordinator and be an integral member of the management team of the facility.
The successful candidate will take a leadership role on a given shift. This is a true opportunity. They will be the contact person for the facility and take the lead to ensure completion of Program Assistant responsibilities in the facility on their shift.
In addition, they will supervise second and third shift weekday staff including training and performance appraisals.

RESPONSIBILITIES Are Custodial In Function Including

• Coordination of on-going security of the facility
• Accountability for the client population
• Supervision and support of all clients in their daily routine and chore assignments
• The orientation of new clients
• Filing of all necessary paperwork and documentation in compliance with Volunteers of America Delaware Valley procedures and funding source requirements

Requirements

• A minimum of a High School Diploma or a GED
• A minimum of 6 months of experience as a Volunteers of America employee (preferred) OR 2 years of human services experience AND previous supervisory experience
• A valid driver's license and be able to meet Volunteers of America driver standards
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer experience
