Applegreen in Hackensack, NJ is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations, ensure top service, and uphold brand and food-safety standards across shifts. You will train new team members, monitor cash handling, and drive performance while keeping customers satisfied.

Responsibilities include leading on-shift staff, handling POS transactions, ensuring proper food handling, and maintaining stock and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and appropriately resolve customer complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Operate POS system, accurately process and receive payment from customers, following all policies.
• Ensure proper food handling including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Complete kitchen tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or concerns.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
