Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years of experience overseeing quantity cooking and food preparation tasks.
• Experience equivalent to Cook E6 or Cook 7 (three years or two years respectively).
• Associate's degree in dietetics, food services management, hotel/restaurant/institution management, or human nutrition with two years experience; may substitute for experience.
• Bachelor's degree in dietetics/food services management or related field with no experience may substitute for experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of cooks and prisoner workers.
• Oversee preparation and serving of three meals daily, including general population, religious and therapeutic meals.
• Ensure adherence to policy directives, state-wide menu, operating procedures, nutritional standards, and safe food handling.
